If you don’t read Shauna Niequist‘s blog yet, you should start. She doesn’t write too often, but whenever she posts something, it is always profound. Her most recent post, Present Over Perfect, is all about what matters this Christmas season. It is a charge to all of us to slow down, stop crossing off our to-do lists, and savor the remainder of this holiday season. These are her guiding thoughts for the season—thoughts that we could all afford to let guide us as well:

Present over perfect.
Quality over quantity.
Relationship over rushing.
People over pressure.
Meaning over mania.

How are you savoring this Christmas season?
