AUTUMN ESSENTIAL : FOOTWEAR

Now, I love boots and have them  in almost every shape and every color – but this fall I am adding a little throwback to the mix with these Adidas sneakers. Whether you are heading to the Farmer’s Market or to the big game – throw them on with a pair of skinny jeans and a sweater and you are good to go. Shop them here.

AUTUMN ESSENTIAL : MUSIC

I have recently discovered the musical goodness that is Ben Rector. His latest release, “Brand New” is the perfect soundtrack to this new season – happy, hopeful and like a “brand new pair of jeans.” Listen here.

AUTUMN ESSENTIAL: DRINK

The pumpkin spice latte usually gets all the glory, but my absolute favorite drink in the fall is an iced Pumpkin Chai Latte from Starbucks. It is both spicy and sweet and tastes like drinking pumpkin pie. What could be better than that?

AUTUMN ESSENTIAL: SCENT

Perfume is one of my favorite things to shop for and usually takes me awhile to settle on one! My fall + winter go-to perfume for the last few years has been Tocca Cleopatra. It is a warm woodsy scent with hints of vanilla and grapefruit. I am a huge fan of the entire Tocca collection. Head to your local Anthropologie and give it a try!

AUTUMN ESSENTIAL: MOVIE

“Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”  – You’ve Got Mail

You’ve Got Mail is one of my favorite movies all year round, but especially in the fall. The beginning of this charming movie takes place in September/October and just puts you in the spirit and reminds you that once upon a time we all used dial-up internet. Oh the 90’s!

AUTUMN ESSENTIAL: THE WORD

God’s Word is an essential in every season of life! I just finished a study on the book of  Ruth (my favorite lady in the Bible) using the She Reads Truth Bible + Devotional app. This study has truly inspired me to fully trust and rely on God in every circumstance and in every season.  This verse from Ruth has become my new anthem for the fall. If you are in a season of waiting, I believe this study will be an encouragement to your heart. Check it out here.
