60: Fighting for Mental Health & Cultivating Shame Resiliency with Rebecca Ching
12 Mar 2018
Allie interviews Rebecca Ching, therapist, speaker, writer, leadership consultant and workshop facilitator. She is the CEO and founder of Potentia Family Therapy, Inc. – which is a brick and mortar integrated mental health practice based in San Diego, California. We talk about what might be the greatest threat to girls’ and women’s mental health and explore the question “is the pressure to be and do it all perfectly, killing us inside?” Rebecca shares about the difference between the state of shame and the emotion of shame, and how we can cultivate shame resiliency in our lives. She talks about the basics for a foundation of good mental health and we explore what healthy vulnerability looks like.
