Allie Marie Smith
Allie serves as the Founder and Director of Wonderfully Made. She is a wife, surfer, adventurer and she loves all things country and coastal. She lives in North Santa Barbara County with her husband Paul. She is the co-author of both books in the Wonderfully Made Bible-study series and just finished writing her memoir.
Born and raised in foggy Northern California, Arielle Estoria Leda Wilbrun is a Spoken Word Artist, Blogger, Speaker and Creative Curator. The heartbeat behind her work is a diligent pursuit of instilling and reminding people of their worth through words. Arielle has spoken at universities such as Azusa Pacific University, Cal State Fullerton and UCLA as well as conferences in the California area and beyond. Her first collaboration book of poetry, Vagabonds and Zealots is available on Amazon.com.
Growing up in southwest Michigan, Carley was a talented athlete who received many awards for her outstanding abilities – especially on the basketball court. As she entered her senior year of high school, Carley discovered she had a rare medical condition that resulted in the amputation of her dominant right hand. But her story doesn’t end there, rather, it is just the beginning. Carley’s positive attitude, determination and faith in God allowed her to get back onto the court only three short months after the amputation.
Chloe was born with a severe foot deformity. She has had numerous operations and faced daunting challenges but has always met each hurdle with emotional strength and grace. In 2014, Chloe was a victim of assault and bullying at her high school. Six months later, she had the courage to begin telling her story. She met Bono who spoke powerful words about fighting injustice. This became a turning point for Chloe and would mark a recovery story that builds in strength with each re-sharing. She says, “I was born with a disability, but I’ve always felt beautiful.”
Christie Pierce is a daughter, wife, mother, singer, speaker, rookie surfer, music junkie, pajama dance party DJ, and lover of Pilates. She speaks on the daring dilemma of living from the heart, discovering who you are, overcoming negative self-talk, and healing from past hurts. Christie also offers a special talk on biblical sexuality. Christie has been on a journey with Jesus Christ since she was nine years old. She is a prodigal, a grace-soaked sunshine kid, and a poet who found her soul in the Psalms of the Bible.
Julia Elizabeth Ismail is currently a seminary student at Biola University. She feels most alive teaching about and experiencing Christ’s love, and fusing into ministry her passion for health and wellness after encountering an illness. Julia is a speaker and health advocate and wants to dedicate her life to spreading the message of real beauty, true health, and living passionately in the space of Christ’s overwhelming love.
Kate Merrick is a writer, speaker, pastor’s wife, mama of a teen and a toddler, surfer, part-time cowgirl, and self-proclaimed chicken whisperer. She has been married to Britt for 19 years and they live in Carpinteria, California, where they founded the Reality family of churches. In 2013 she endured the death of her daughter, Daisy Love, after suffering through cancer treatment for three and a half years. Kate is making her way back toward laughter and finding life to be filled with good things.
Kayla Scheidler is originally from Oceanside, California but currently lives near Tokyo with her husband who is a Navy helicopter pilot. She has been a part of Wonderfully Made since the very beginning at Santa Clara University and speaks regularly to girls and young women. She continues to work with her family’s literacy nonprofit and teaches English to Japanese children and Sunday School to American children. She loves experiencing the Japanese culture and food and traveling throughout Asia whenever possible!
Nicole Bromley is a sought-after Professional Speaker, author and National Spokesperson on sexual abuse and assault. She is the author of two books: Hush: Moving from Silence to Healing after Childhood Sexual Abuse, and Breathe: Finding Freedom to Thrive in Relationships after Childhood Sexual Abuse. Having been viewed as the perfect girl all her life, excelling as an athlete, scholar, artist, and class leader, she appeared to have it all. But at the age of 14, she realized her entire childhood had been ravaged by the torment of sexual abuse. Through her internationally recognized keynote message Our Little Secret, Nicole tells her story in an effort to break the silence surrounding childhood sexual abuse.
Sarah Rachel Hill
Portrayed by Carrie Underwood in the recently released movie, “Soul Surfer,” Sarah was instrumental in helping surfer Bethany Hamilton through a tragic shark attack that left her with one arm. Sarah’s own past, which include suffering a broken neck and back in a surfing accident, helped prepare her and equip her in ministry. Sarah serves as a missionary on the Island of Kauai where she leads one of the largest student ministries on the Island. Grounded in her devotion an love for Christ, her training allows her to recognize those in need and gives her the ability to reach out to them. After growing up in a tough and abusive home, through God’s grace, she continues impacting lives for God’s kingdom on Kauai…and beyond.
